Chapter Eight

“People who are being honest and truthful radiate a vibrant, deep blue aura around their heads and shoulders, with a white crown of energy on top of it. Those who are deceitful liars give off a muddy yellow-green color in their aura. Your aura is your spiritual energy. Everything you think, and feel, all shows in your aura. Even your physical health has auric colors. Auras tell only the truth, and they reveal everything about you. They cannot lie. Your aura is as unique as you are, and these colors change as we change. Through practice and meditation I’ve learned to recognize the colors and vibrations. Not only that, but the colors in our aura reflect the character of our soul. The first time I noticed another person’s aura was when I saw my mother literally glowing with this huge ball of white surrounding her. I almost tackled her thinking something was wrong. She was stunned at first. After that, she was quiet like she was talking to someone. I think she reached out to the Goddess, but she didn’t say. I didn’t tell her about my precognition and out-of-body experiences. People who are said to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers. I don’t know what I’d be called so, yeah, there you go.”

“Fuck, that’s a lot to take in. What color do you see when you look at me?”

She smiled, her eyes tracing over his face and chest. “You have a deep red aura, which means that you have an inner warrior spirit who can survive any circumstance thrown at you. Beings with an aura like yours are usually well-grounded and are more realistic about most situations. I would say that is pretty spot on, don’t you agree?”

“Hmm, I was thinking you’d see a color that denoted the fact I was impatient and needy.” Jaxon flipped their positions, using his strength rather than abilities.

“Oh, well that would match my own aura then.” It was her turn to place her arms under her head.

Jaxon’s eyes brightened. “Damn, you’re so fucking beautiful. How did I get so lucky?”

“We are both blessed, Jaxon. Whoever implanted that horrid memory wanted to keep us apart for whatever agenda they had. They almost destroyed the both of us. I’m sorry you suffered because of it. I have a feeling I had a part in you getting implanted with that hateful scar.” Her eyes filled with tears.

“They didn’t win, my love. We’re here where we belong, together. What you said about the Fates aligning us the way they did, giving you gifts that mimicked mine or vice versa. I think you were on to something. During the years me and the others fought to get back here, we had one thing, one goal, and that was to survive. If you get up every time you fail, with the right attitude, you can do anything you decide to do. You my pulchra primus, can do anything. We can achieve all we desire if we have faith in one another.
